Women Leadership Intensive

Overview

Ladies, it is time to be legendary! Are you ready to unlock your full potential and take your leadership skills to the next level? This year's cohort will meet two times in the fall and conclude with recognition at the CCOSA Summer Conference in May 2026.

We need more women education leaders who are willing to step up to the podium. But leadership isn't for the faint of heart. Who is willing to take on the challenge of becoming a transformational education leader? The world is waiting for you!

So many women educators think of themselves as “only a mom” or “just a teacher” or “just a wife”, but we are way more than our titles and our roles.  In the cohort, we will learn what a transformational vision is and how to build your own roadmap for achieving your vision. Just having a plan is not enough to help us reach our goals.  So, get ready to stretch yourself outside of your comfort zones!  We will create stretch goals that are stretchy yet attainable, and help you move your leadership needle!

Understanding how and why people communicate the way they do is key to landing your message with them. Communication operating systems are essential to being a successful communicator. You will discover your own communication operating system and how identify others and meet them where they are. This powerful communication tool can transform your professional and personal relationships. Get ready for some role-playing to really help this training stick.

One of the biggest hurdles we face in leadership is understanding where our gap is; the point where you always find yourself stopping. Think of this as the place where you decide not to speak up or where you think you are not smart enough.   We will dive under our past to look for the events and words that have unknowingly stopped us from making big progress. Bring your Kleenex; this exercise is known to break down barriers you might not have known were inside.

Learning the difference between alignment and agreement are essential leadership skills. These skills are powerful ways to improve tense situations. Once you’ve upped your communication game and have a solid understanding of seeking alignment, we will go on to enrollment.

Enrollment is the game of life. Have you ever been in the presence of leaders with the uncanny ability to get the people around them to take on tasks they never thought possible? Getting people to take on those complex tasks is because they are a natural enroller. As a great enroller, we learn how to evoke a person’s vision and walk them through the steps of enrollment. Because practice makes us better, we are taking enrollment to the "streets"! Get ready to test your new enrollment skills!

Project Graduation is not a party like the ones we throw after high school senior’s graduate. You and your Cohort will come up with the graduation project that makes a BIG IMPACT!  Then, we will unveil the project's results as Women Leadership Intensive Cohort graduates and is recognized at the CCOSA Summer Leadership Conference in June 2026.
