Curt slater

Curt Slater is the co-founder of TILL360 and has dedicated more than three decades to serving students, staff, and communities. With over 34 years of experience in education, he has worn many hats, including para-professional, teacher, dean of students, assistant principal, and principal. He retired in 2019 after being named National Distinguished Principal of the Year—a recognition that speaks to his deep impact and commitment to excellence.
But Curt’s journey didn’t start in the spotlight. He grew up in a deeply dysfunctional home, surrounded by addiction, chaos, and instability. Against the odds, he forged a new path—choosing hope over despair, and purpose over circumstance. That choice shaped not only his life, but the lives of thousands of educators and students who’ve crossed his path.
Curt is known as a leader who challenges the status quo, always asking the question: ‘How can we do this better?’ He believes change begins with listening and learning, and he’s dedicated to building relationships and empowering others to discover their own potential.
