New Process for Reporting Safety Drills to Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security

To All School Administrators,
In an effort to make the statutory requirement to document and report school safety drills easier and more efficient, the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) has created an online system for schools to use to meet this requirement. Attached to this e-mail are short instructions on how to use this new system, including the address of the new website created for the Oklahoma School Security Institute. (www.schoolsecurity.ok.gov) Please share this information with everyone in your office who will be reporting your safety drills, and have them start using the new system immediately.
In the future, this website will be used for many things other than just reporting safety drills, including a list of training opportunities. This website will also host the online portion of the statewide tip line currently being developed for the reporting of suspicious activity that could affect the safety of schools. More information on the tip line will be available as it is completed.
