As the state’s preeminent membership association for school administrators, CCOSA, the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration, serves as Oklahoma’s most active and trusted voice in education policy, practice and leadership, communications and shaping public policy and public opinion to ensure Oklahomans have the best public education system available.

To assist in these advocacy and policy efforts, the Cooperative Council of School Administration (CCOSA) is announcing the opening of an Education Policy and Research Analyst position. The CCOSA/OASA Executive Director is looking for a person who shares this vision, who holds high ethical standards, and who believes that leadership matters to ensure that children come first. 

 

Education, Qualifications, Requirements and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference given to candidates with a law degree (must have State of Oklahoma license to practice law), Doctor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, or education. Experience in research, writing and graphic presentation skills, including the ability to complete succinct policy briefs, as well as longer reports, is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, familiarity with Oklahoma policy issues, especially the state budget, Oklahoma education policy and funding, and the Oklahoma State Legislature are also preferred experiences. Person must demonstrate public presentation and interpersonal skills along with computer proficiency. Position is based in Oklahoma City area (will office in Oklahoma City at CCOSA office).

Salary: TBD, at will position

Reports to: CCOSA Executive Director
