OAESP Mid-Winter Conference
The Heart of a Leader”
School leaders are tasked with getting results in one of the most people-driven professions on the planet; it’s a complex role that’s difficult to understand if you’re not doing the work. Dr. Brad Gustafson is a practicing principal who will encourage us to hold on to the heart while helping us lean further into our strengths so we can lead others into an unknown future. Brad uses a blend of relatable stories, surprising research, and inspiring examples from his newest book, Reclaiming Our Calling. Best of all, he does it in a manner that is extremely actionable so you can take it back to your leadership role and use it to make a difference for the students you serve.
You can connect with Brad by bopping into the #oklaed chat on Twitter before the conference on January 26 and again after the conference on February 9. He’ll be co-moderating the chats along with the #oklaed team. Both chats are an hour long (8:00-9:00pm CST) and a great way to connect, learn, and build a powerful student-centered network.
Dr. Brad Gustafson is an award-winning principal, speaker, and best-selling author. He’s also serving as a National Advisor with Future Ready Schools and a School Improvement Consultant with Scholastic. Brad was Minnesota’s Principal of the Year in 2016 and the National School Boards Association recognized him as a “20 to Watch” in 2017. He co-hosts a school leadership podcast, UnearthED, on the BAM Radio Network. Brad's new book, Reclaiming Our Calling, is helping educators build deeper relationships and get better results.
