All new first-year special education directors are eligible to participate in the 2018-19 First-Year Special Education Directors Project, a joint effort of the Oklahoma Directors of Special Services (ODSS)/Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA) and the Oklahoma State Department of Education - Special Education Services section (SDE-SES). The purpose of the Project is to help support first-year directors as they learn the requirements of their new job. There is no cost to participate.

During the 2018-19 school year, we'll be conducting four half-day training sessions, putting on at least two webinars, providing directors with lists of resources and pairing each new director with an experienced special education director/mentor. New first-year directors will be paid a $50 stipend for each of the four in-person training sessions they attend.
