Scholarships

CCOSA/OSAG/Gene Keith Scholarship – Kloe Nelson. Vici High School

As a leader, Kloe Nelson is a presence in her school that has brought spirit, school pride, and character. Her character and integrity exemplify leadership, and she is a role model for other students in her school. Kloe has been involved in various school activities, school organizations, and several sports while maintaining academic excellence. Kloe will attend Dodge City Community College where she will play softball and then go to Southern Nazarene University to finish her education. She plans to major in secondary education and will continue her love of sports as a teacher and coach. Kloe is the daughter of Coby and Dr. Kas Nelson, OASA and OAESP members.

CCOSA/MGM/Harvey Reimer Scholarship – Gracen Hawthorne, Altus High School

As a student at Altus High School, Gracen Hawthorne has been involved in many school activities and has received many academic honors. While in high school she found juggling concurrent classes, academics, sports, school organizations, and work to be a challenge, however, she learned to manage her time to be successful. Gracen plans to attend Oklahoma State University where she will major in Agribusiness and Accounting.  She hopes to earn her master’s degree and eventually become a CPA.  Gracen is the daughter of Mindy Hawthorne, an ODSS member.

CCOSA/Renaissance Learning/Steven Crawford Scholarship – Cassidy Crabb, Sayre High School

       Cassidy Crabb has consistently demonstrated remarkable dedication and it is evident by her impressive accomplishments.  As an Oklahoma Academic All-State recipient, National Merit Finalist, and Class Valedictorian, she has consistently excelled.  In addition to her academic achievements, Cassidy has actively participated in various extracurricular activities including robotics, band, choir, theatre, and the Academic Bowl Team.  Cassidy has been described as someone with exemplary character and integrity.  She has always exhibited a strong work ethic and resilience in the face of challenges. This fall Cassidy will attend Harvard University and plans to major in Political Science.  Cassidy is the daughter of Danny Crabb, an OASA member.

OASSP/Red Sky Constructors/J.B. Flatt Scholarship – Jace Jackson, Warner High School

   In high school, Jace Jackson has held many different leadership roles in his school and in his community.  Jace has always maintained academic excellence while participating in sports and working on the family’s cattle ranch.  He has been involved in many student activities and organizations as well as service-learning projects. Jace has been found to be honest, trustworthy, and dependable. He will obtain his associate degree at Carl Albert State College and will then attend Oklahoma State University where he plans to major in Physical Therapy.  Jace is the son of Jeremy Warner, an OASSP member.

OAESP/Horizon Financial Services Scholarship – Chloe Birkenfeld, Adair High School

    Chloe Birkenfeld is described as young woman that always excels academically, is kind, and is a great leader.   Chloe understands what it takes to make goals and achieve them.  Not only has Chloe received many academic honors, but she has held many leadership positions and participated in a variety of school activities.  Her leadership is evident in everything she attempts in her school and her community.  Chloe plans to attend Baylor University where she will major in Biochemistry and later attend medical school.  Chloe is the daughter of Ginger Birkenfeld, an OAESP member.

NW OSAG Regional Scholarship – Camryn Patterson, Enid High School 

As a high school student, Camryn Patterson is known to be very self-driven and always strives to do her best. In addition to her dedication to academics, she has been involved in many school and extracurricular activities.  Her leadership skills are evident in her role as Senior class president, an active member of the student council, and National Honor Society.  Whether on the softball field or the classroom, Camryn is well respected and a dedicated leader.  Camryn plans to attend the University of Arkansas where she will major in nursing.  She is the daughter of Jennifer Patterson, an OMLEA member.

SW OSAG Regional Scholarship – Cade Gilbert, Marlow High School

 Cade Gilbert is a hardworking young man whose goals and work ethic have led him to find success as a leader in his school, in athletics, and his community. His work ethic and tenacity in football and wrestling have molded him into a leader on and off the field.  Cade was named as an Oklahoma Coaches Association All-Stater in football. In addition, he has also won multiple state championships in wrestling.  When not in school, you can find Cade working many jobs as well as volunteering in his community.  Cade is described as a young man with impeccable work ethic, and is well liked and respected by his peers, his teachers, and his administration. Cade plans to wrestle at the University of Arkansas Little Rock where he will major in Fire Science.  Cade is the son of Chad Gilbert, an OASSP/OMLEA member.
